 Date Sunday October 15th 2017
 Assocation Wiltshire County
This year’s Wiltshire Masters Tournament was, as last year, fiercely competitive and, as last year, under supported in several areas.

The Ladies competition saw seven pairs, in a combined age group, competed in two groups with two winning pairs entering into semi final and the losing pairs into a separate draw to battle it out for fifth place.

Nicky Robertson and Helen Higgins beat Rachel Jackson and Jo Hillier 21-18, 22-20, while Miche Thrush and Jerril Daw beat Greta Howard and Debbie Honey for 3rd place 17-21, 21-13, 21-15.

In the over 50-60 mens, five pairs competed for the honours in a round-robin format. Grant Illing and Graham Long won all their matches with John Barker and Adam Galache-Brown in runners-up spot.

In the Mens 40-45s seven pairs contested the spoils in two groups, in a repeat format of the ladies. The semi finals saw Simon Carter and Neil Wilcox bested by Dave King and Simon West in straight sets, while Rich Wojewoka and Paul King took Hayden Dibble and Mark Titchener to three sets 21-18, 14-21, 21-13 to set up a final that lived up to expectation. After a captivating three sets Dibble and Titchener retained their title 21-19, 18-21. 21-15.

Thank you to all those that supported the event, please spread the word for next year’s event, it’s not just for the district’s top players to attend, but open to all levels of players who would like to enjoy an afternoons sport.
