The Wiltshire Senior Silver annual tournament took place at the Christie Miller Sports Centre on Saturday December 2nd. 103 players took part from as far a field at Cornwall in the west, Kent in the east and Staffordshire in the midlands. The Wiltshire players who reached the later stages were Lisa Elliott (Turner) who won the ladies doubles with Sarah Preece (Devon) and reached the semi final of the singles. Julie Russell was runner up in the mixed doubles with Sam Owens (Devon) and Jason Plant reached the quarter finals of the mens doubles with Simon Woodhouse and the mixed with Laura Baker (Hants).

The mens singles was a closely contested event and saw Chris Hotchen emerge as winner in a 3 set match against Angus Pedersen. The ladies singles final was contested by 2 under 17 players with Abbygael Harris the winner over Gunjan Randhawa. The mens doubles saw the Devon pair of Sam Owens and Jamie Roberton emerge triumphant against Chris Hotchen and Angus Pedersen in a 2 set match. In the ladies doubles Lisa Elliott and Sarah Preece beat Chloe Hunt and Abbie Smith also in 2 sets and in the mixed doubles Brandon Yap and Abbygael Harris beat Sam Owens and Julie Russell to give Abbygael her second title.

Mens singles: Chris Hotchen (Glos) beat Angus Pedersen (Middlesex) 22-20,16-21,21-19.
Ladies singles: Abbygael Harris (Staffs) beat Gunjan Randhawa (Middlesex) 21-18, 21-16.
Mens doubles: Sam Owens & Jamie Roberton (Devon) beat Chris Hotchen (Glos) & Angus Pedersen (Middlesex) 21-14, 22-20.
Ladies Doubles: Lisa Elliott (Wilts) & Sarah Preece (Devon) beat Chloe Hunt (Warwick) & Abbie Smith (Herts) 21-14, 21-18.
Mixed doubles: Brandon Yap (Essex) & Abbygael Harris (Staffs) beat Sam Owens (Devon) & Julie Russell (Wilts) 21-9, 21-15.
