WILTSHIRE SENIOR RESTRICTED CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019
 Date Wednesday October 2nd 2019
 Assocation National
The Senior Restricted Championships took place on Sunday at the Five Rivers Salisbury for the first time after many years at the now closed Christie Miller Sports Centre.

There was another small entry, although it was pleasing to see so many under 18 players taking part. All events were played in groups, with 4 groups in the Mens Singles, 2 groups in each of the Mens and Mixed Doubles and 1 group in each of the Ladies Singles and Doubles.

In the Mens Singles, with Simon Woodhouse unfit to play there was a new winner and Jason Plant emerged as the winner after a three set victory over Andrew Ferris. Both semi finals went to three sets with the losers being Marcus Raymond and Saahan Shetty. The Ladies Singles also had a new winner as Lisa Elliott who had won for the last 12 years is not playing this year. The winner was 15 year old Riya Tarar who won all her 3 matches and beat Katie Ovenden (a year younger) in a close three set match.

The Mens Doubles with 7 entries was won again by Jon McDonald and Jason Plant for the 3rd year in a 3 set final against Andrew Ferris and Duncan Sorbie. The ladies doubles was played in a group of 5 pairs with Julia Fishlock and Nicky Robertson winning all their matches in straight sets.
